Lowe Manufacturing OptiBoom MAX Skid Steer Boom

Digging a footing, setting a pole or lifting a load over a wall usually means renting a backhoe. Lowe's OptiBoom MAX turns a skid steer into a fronthoe and lift: a rigid box beam boom on the universal skid steer mount, with a quick attach nose that swaps buckets, a thumb, a rake and lifts by moving one pin, in under three minutes by Lowe's account. It reaches 65.5 inches, digs up to 84 inches deep, and Lowe rates the boom at 4,000 pounds.

The OptiBoom MAX (LFHB-60) is built from 5/16 inch side plates and 3/8 inch grade 50 steel, with hardened pins and sleeves at every pivot. It weighs 450 pounds without attachments and runs one 3-1/2 inch cylinder with an 18 inch stroke at up to 3,000 PSI.
