Star's skid steer kit comes with the 160D-1020 for 10 to 20 GPM, the 160D-1530 for 15 to 30 GPM or the 160D-2035 for 20 to 35 GPM, and its mini kit pairs the 160D-615M (6 to 15 GPM) or the 160D-1020M (10 to 20 GPM) with a Dingo style or Mini Bobcat frame.
What size hole can a skid steer auger drill?
Up to 36 inches across with the larger Star drives. Star rates its skid steer kit drives for bits up to 30 or 36 inches in dirt, and the 15 to 30 and 20 to 35 GPM backhoe kit drives for bits up to 36 inches in dirt or rock.
Can you put an auger on a backhoe or mini excavator?
Yes. Star's backhoe and mini excavator kit mounts the planetary drive on a boom tip frame with standard single pin mounting, for 10 to 35 GPM machines, and Star quotes quick tach frames for specific machines on request.

Do the Star auger kits come with bits?
No. Each Star kit covers the planetary drive, the mounting frame, the hose kit and the flat face couplers; the bits are not part of the kit.
Does a skid steer auger need high flow?
No. Star's skid steer kit runs from 10 GPM with the 160D-1020 drive, and its 15 to 30 and 20 to 35 GPM drives suit higher flow machines.
Will the mini auger kit fit a Bobcat mini loader?
Yes, with the Mini Bobcat frame. Star builds the mini kit with a Dingo style frame for Dingo type mini loaders or a Mini Bobcat frame for Bobcat mini loaders.
How many bits does the auger rack hold?
Up to 10, stored coupler up, in diameters up to 28 inches. The 160A-16 takes 48 inch tall augers and the 160A-16-42 takes 42 inch tall augers, and a forklift moves the loaded rack.
What comes in the backhoe auger kit?
