SHIELDS 1/2 Inch Front Windshield Set for CAT B-Series Skid Steers

CAT B-Series skid steers, from the 216 and 226B to the 257B, 267B, 277B and 287B, have a front window made of three glued glass panels. SHIELDS replaces it with a three-piece 1/2 inch polycarbonate set, glass 223-0609 for the middle, 223-0612 for the left and 223-0610 for the right, plus a tube of silicone for joining the panels. The set glues into the frame like the original, and SHIELDS recommends its SHIELDS Caulk for that bond. It does not replace CAT's OEM poly window, part 316-1698.

This SHIELDS 1/2 inch polycarbonate set replaces the three-piece glued glass front window on CAT B-Series skid steers. The set comes with a tube of silicone for joining the three panels, glues into the frame like the original glass, and is coated on both sides with SHIELDS' SUPERCOAT hard coat. Choose clear or tint.

• 1/2 inch formed polycarbonate, which SHIELDS rates at more than 260 times the strength of glass at half the weight
• SUPERCOAT hard coat on both sides resists abrasion, so you can keep using your wiper
• Three-piece set with a tube of silicone for joining the panels; the silicone joins the panels and does not hold the window in the frame
• For the glue-in bond SHIELDS recommends its SHIELDS Caulk; RTV silicone only seals out weather and will not hold the window
• Replaces the three-piece glass; it does not replace CAT's OEM polycarbonate window, part 316-1698
• Tint is built into the material, not a film; SHIELDS advises against adding aftermarket tint film because the coating will not hold adhesives
