Ferrous scrap mixed into demolition, waste and railroad debris is easier to pull out with a magnet whose teeth rake through the pile. Connect Work Tools CMG magnets fit by excavator weight: 38 inch for 28,000 to 34,000 pounds, 42 inch for 38,000 to 46,000 and 50 inch for 52,000 to 64,000. Each needs 10 to 40 GPM, depending on model, from an open center circuit and is rated for a 50 percent duty cycle over 10 minutes. The teeth models carry Esco teeth on a quick fitting device for easy replacement.

The Connect Work Tools CM series is a self contained hydraulic magnet for excavators on demolition, scrap, waste, construction debris and railroad work. It runs off the excavator's auxiliary hydraulic circuit, which drives a generator inside the magnet, so it needs no electrical connection or added generator. Choose a 38, 42 or 50 inch magnet with teeth, or the 42 inch CM42IC on chains. Hydraulic hoses are not included.
